Academy of Sages Students Win Gold Medals at La Cuisine Competition, SIAL InterFOOD 2025

The prestigious culinary competition, La Cuisine Competition, was held once again as part of Southeast Asia’s largest food and beverage exhibition, SIAL InterFOOD 2025, which took place at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) Kemayoran from 12–15 November 2025. The competition was attended by over 1,000 participants from eight countries, showcasing the skills of professional chefs, culinary students, and industry players from various backgrounds. This year, SIAL InterFOOD 2025 featured participation from 26 countries, including Thailand, Iran, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Egypt, Korea, Turkey, Russia, Japan, Taiwan, China, the United States, Pakistan, Morocco, Hong Kong, the Philippines, India, Jordan, Palestine, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai), Italy, Switzerland, and Germany. In addition, 100 top Indonesian MSMEs participated, presenting innovative food products ready for export.



On this occasion, the Academy of Sages also participated by sending six student delegates and one supervising chef to compete in various categories. This participation provided an opportunity for students to demonstrate their creativity and professionalism in the culinary field. A proud achievement was earned by Academy of Sages students Giza Fatima Azahra (24110021) and Leony Mutia Shafna Sulistio (24110011), who won Gold Medals in the Tumpeng category, while Zhafir Muhamad Farid (24110018) received a Silver Medal in the Japfa Asian Main Course Chicken category, outperforming participants from various countries. This accomplishment reflects the Academy of Sages’ commitment to producing outstanding human resources in the culinary and hospitality sectors. Through this event, SIAL InterFOOD 2025 not only serves as an international exhibition and competition but also as a platform for collaboration between educational institutions, industry, and entrepreneurs to strengthen Indonesia’s position on the global culinary stage.
