Sages Academy and Surabaya P3APPKB Hold Entrepreneurship Training for Female Online Motorcycle Taxi Drivers

Sages Academy, in collaboration with the Surabaya Office of Women Empowerment, Child Protection, Population Control, and Family Planning (P3APPKB), held an entrepreneurship training program for female online motorcycle taxi drivers. The event was attended by 25 enthusiastic participants and took place in Surabaya.This training was part of a joint effort to enhance the capacity and economic independence of women in Surabaya, particularly those working as online transportation partners. Through this program, participants not only gained knowledge about basic entrepreneurship concepts and business development, but also had the opportunity to engage in hands-on practice by making a culinary product — Dadar Gulung Black Forest. The training team from Sages Academy included Mr. Daniel Pandu Mau, who provided sessions on capital calculation and profit estimation for small-scale businesses, and Chef Thjing Man Li, who delivered material on ingredient selection, processing techniques, and attractive product packaging for commercial use.

In her opening remarks, the Head of the Surabaya P3APPKB Office expressed appreciation for the collaboration with Sages Academy, recognizing it as a meaningful contribution to women’s economic empowerment. “We hope initiatives like this can open new opportunities for women in Surabaya to build independent businesses and improve their family’s welfare,” she stated. Meanwhile, a representative from Sages Academy affirmed the institution’s commitment to actively participating in social and educational programs that promote community empowerment. “This training aligns with Sages Academy’s vision to nurture creative, independent, and entrepreneurial-minded individuals — not only among students but also within the wider community,” the representative remarked. Through this activity, participants are expected to develop new skills and transform them into productive business opportunities. Sages Academy plans to continue collaborating with various partners to expand the positive impact of such initiatives for women and local communities in Surabaya.
